Dish, pearlware, elongated octagonal form with flat base, curving sides and spreading rim with a notched edge; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with to the well a version of the 'willow' pattern with pagodas, Chinese figures, a bridge and a further figure in a boat, a cell-pattern border around the sides of the well, around the rim an elaborate border of flowers and scrollwork against a lattice and cell pattern ground.
