Banner with the slogan 'CHWALWN SMASH APARTHEID / SANCTIONS NOW / DIM BUSNES Â BOTHA'. Made and designed by Anthony Evans for the Wales Anti-Apartheid Movement (WAAM), mid-1980s. The image on the front of the banner is a copy of photograph taken during the Soweto Uprising on 16 June 1976 by Sam Nzima. On the back is the logo of WAAM. Made using alkyd paints on an old plastic movie project screen. A wooden slat adds support to the upper edge.
