Jug, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, square-shouldered angular handle with slightly raised thumb-spur; the exterior of the jug and the interior neck and spout covered with a rich brown glaze, this then transfer-printed in black with to either side of the exterior body a rural scene showing two figures standing in front of a lake with two swans, in the distance a country house surrounded by trees, the scenes enclosed by silver lustre borders, silver lustre bands around the lower body, exterior neck and interior and exterior lip-rim and spout, silver lustre anthemions to the handle, a pale brown glaze to the interior of the jug. The foot-rim and lip-rim chipped.
