Plate, soft-paste porcelain, round with short foot rim, gently curving, undulating sides and shaped rim; ground of underglaze mazarine blue on inside of saucer with three white reserves around edge in which naturalistic bird scenes are painted in polychrome enamels, gilding is superimposed with foliage/ floral design in well centre and bordering reserves, and a dentil edge pattern around rim edge; outer sides of dish have also been painted with three evenly spaced floral sprays and a gilt line around foot rim; glazed
