Chisel
Wheelwright's chisel used with a mallet. Made of solid steel rectangular bar with one end ground to a sharp edge, and the other fitted with a wooden handle.
Waisted wooden handle with iron ferrules on the striking end and around where the tang enters the handle. There is a ring of black rubber between the ferrule and the tang/blade. [RP; 17/04/2009]
