Vase, with cover
Vase, black basalt, standing on a square plinth, urn-shaped form with spreading foot and ovoid body, reversible cover, one side rising into a high finial with a ball to the top, the other side having to the centre a raised sconce for a candle, the exterior body of the vase ornamented with applied groups of classical figures, foliage, shrubs and trees, moulded bands of intersecting circles around the exterior upper body of the vase and around both sides of the rim of the cover. The vase broken and repaired, the rim of the cover chipped.
