Roman samian bowl
A samian sherd from a Dr37 bowl. The fabric is very thin orange-pink ware with a smooth red gloss. Germanus-style, with ovolo and tree with spiral-tendril leaves. There is also a deer (Oswald 1755). This is South Gaulish ware ( La Graufesenque) and Flavian in date.
