Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, circular shape, rounded foot-rim with an incised ring around it, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, a slightly raised edge to the well, six large lobes alternating with six small lobes to the rim, the outer rim moulded with a scalloped edge; transfer-printed in black with to the well three oriental scenes, the central scene shows a pagoda with two figures in front of it, a tree to one side and oriental buildings and boats on an expanse of water beyond it, the top and bottom scenes are identical and show a variety of oriental buildings standing on outcrops of land in an expanse of water, black bands to the edge of the well and the rim.
