Preissler, Ignaz (Hausmaler painter, 1676-1741)
Shallow circular dish standing on a slight foot rim, two concentric underglaze blue lines in the middle of the well and two within the brown edged rim; elaborately decorated in black enamel (schwarzlot) and in gold, the centre reserved with chinoiserie landscape, circled with a broad frieze of figures including a seated oriental holding a cup flanked by musicians, and attendants all in a landscape of trees, mountains and buildings, one figure holds a crane and several fly above, in cloudy sky.
