Tureen with cover
Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Sauce tureen, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a shallow, stepped pedestal foot, rounded sides to shoulder, concave curve to lip; upturned double spindle handles with moulded floret discs; flat-topped conical cover with beaded moulding around a pineapple finial; painted on each side, and all around the collar and cover, with sprays of three pink full bloom roses, between gilt leaf sprigs; gilt scalloped band to lip and shoulder; gilt handles and finial, gilt band to foot rim, and beading banded by gilt lines.
