Smock
Unbleached linen smock, 19th century. From Baglan Hall, Port Talbot. Embroidered with linen thread. Square flap collars. One mother-of-pearl fastening at back and front. Two button opening at cuffs. The smocking is done in outline, double wave and cable stitches. There is very little embroidery, only wavy lines of feather stitching in the boxs, collars and yokes.
