Bedsheet; white tabby woven linen (?) with whitework embroidery.
Embroidery extends along upper edge and down upper part of side edges (70cm down right side and 73cm down left side). Stitches are carried out using cotton thread (2-ply, S-twist) in a floral motif (width of embroidered strip is c. 7cm wide).
Upper edge is scalloped and finished with blanket stitch using cotton thread.
Side edges = selvages, i.e. 197cm is the full width of the woven cloth. Bottom edge has a narrow (width = 6mm) handstitched seam.
