Roman copper alloy stud
Studs decorated in repoussé with a male bust in profile or representations of Victory are mainly found on military sites and it seems likely they were used on 'aprons'. The head of this stud is decorated with a repoussé barbarous portrait of an emperor, laureate in profile, with a palm in front and caduceus or second palm behind.
