¾ Port Bow view of S.S. BANGOR BAY entering Cardiff Docks.

ss. BANGOR BAY (6327gt) : Built 1941 as EMPIRE MALLORY by C. Connell & Co., Glasgow, for MoWT (managed by H. Hogarth & Sons). 1943 – Management transferred to Cravos & Co., Cardiff. 1946 – Sold to Cravos and renamed AMPLEFORTH. 1947 – She became stranded near Tel Aviv and declared a constructive total loss. She was however, refloated, repaired, sold to Irish Bay Lines, and renamed BANGOR BAY. 1954 – Sold to Great Eastern Shipping Co., Bombay, and renamed JAG SHANTI. She was broken up at Bombay in 1961.
