Cardiff Docks, negative
Interior view of cattle lairages at Cardiff Docks, showing a man handing two horses. These lairages were constructed by the Great Western Railway between Roath Basin and Roath Dock, and came equipped with stables, cattle lairs, auction pens and an abattoir. Cardiff was one of the few U.K. ports licensed to import livestock.
