Small cardboard advertising placard with the text BEST IN WALES - ELY ALES. The Ely Brewery was a contender for the purchase of Wm. W. Nell's Eagle Brewery, Cardiff. They were beaten to it by Crosswell's Cardiff Brewery Ltd in 1927.
