Tray, tin-plate, rectangular form with raised lozenge-pierced sides and riveted corners; the underside covered with a black japan, the upperside covered with a tortoiseshell japan of a reddish tone, much of the top layer of varnish has worn off to reveal the patches of reddish pigment.
