white wool jersey riding breeches; inner knees reinforced with white chamois leather; slit at outer calves fastened with 4 mother-of-pearl buttons; 1 further mother-of-pearl button stitched to chamois leather (towards lower back - reinforced from the inside with patch of white cotton tabby fabric); 5 small gold-coloured metal buttons along centre front opening with larger button at top, plus 6 further large buttons around waist: 2 at front, 2 at sides, 2 on either side of centre back - for attachment of braces; pocket on both sides of hips fastened with 1 mother-of-pearl button; pockets and inner waist lined with white cotton twill fabric; piping of white cellulosic twill tape around top edge of waist and cuffs of trouser legs; centre front opening and slit on outside of calves lined with white cotton tabby fabric.
