S.S. ANNE BRADSTREET, glass negative
¾ Starboard Bow view of S.S. ANNE BRADSTREET, at Cardiff Docks, c. 1946/1947.
ss ANNE BRADSTREET (7176gt) : Completed in January 1943 at New England Shipbuilding Corp. - She was strafed and damaged on 13th August, 1943 but continued to live on. She was apparently broken up as late as May 1996 (according to the "Warships" website). - The ship was named after Anne Bradstreet, a New England poetess who died in 1672. She had been born Anne Dudley in Northamptonshire, England, in 1612.
