Swatch of tweed
Swatches of tweed bound inside a rectangular shaped book covered in green imitation leather (coated fabric). The front cover is decorated with a gold printed border, the company stamp (LB&DExeter) and the name of the type of fabrics (Luxury Trevira with 45% super 80's worsted). The tops of the swatches appear to have been embedded in adhesive. On the end of the binding is a hanging loop made from red, yellow and green twisted rope.
Each fabric has a rectangular shaped green label adhered to the upper right corner, the first one reads 'Luxury 5231' and also has a white paper label which reads 'Tickets are affixed to the face of the pattern' The following swatches have consecutive numbers till 5256.
The tweeds consist of a selection of stripes and checks in blues, browns and greys, the exposed edges are 'pinked' to prevent fraying. Swatch number 5232 has a section missing.
