Jar, drug
Drug jar, pale buff coloured earthenware, standing on a waisted spreading foot, globular body sloping inwards at the shoulder, short cylindrical neck with everted lip-rim; covered all over with a bluish tinged white tin-glaze, this then painted in blue with to the front of the body the inscription "SAL: GLAUB: 2nd" enclosed within a scrolling cartouche surrounded by to the top of the cartouche two birds and a basket of flowers, to the bottom of the cartouche the head of a winged cherub and two urns with flowers, and to either side of the cartouche tied ribbons with tassels.
