Comport
Comport, soft paste porcelain,spreading pedestal with lobed edge to foot and thickened ring at top of pedestal, the bowl of the comport attached seperately, the bowl is shallow and open in form, with eight evenly-spaced lobes of two different widths, with ribs runing from the rim at the indent of each lobe; decorated with an elaborate gilt border composed of a central motif od a clam shell, with S and C scrolls between, framed by stylised sea ferns/weeds, four evenly spaced cartouches of polychrome flowers at inner rim and around foot.
