Plate, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short tapering cylindrical foot-rim, curving sides, a moulded basketwork border to the sides of the well divided into twelve divisions by short raised ribs, a shaped edge to the rim; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a landscape with a figure gazing across a river, on the further bank a towered building, trees and distant mountains, around the bottom of the landscape a rococo border with scrolls in gilt, puce and blue and leafy festoons, around the sides of the well are scattered floral sprigs, a gilt edge to the rim. One side of the plate broken and repaired.
