Teapot and cover
Teapot, black basalt, round-ended oblong shape with spreading waisted foot, concave sides and concave neck, curving spout moulded with panels of gadrooning to either side, ribbed double scroll handle moulded with leaves at the shoulder, oblong domed cover with a border of gadrooning around the sides and to the top a finial modelled in the form of a stylized flower head, a pierced steam hole to one side, the sides of the teapot ornamented with an applied band of strawberries and foliage between two moulded convex bands of gadrooning, an applied border of vine leaves and grapes around the neck. The lip of the spout chipped, several large holes to the sides of the teapot.
