Prehistoric antler peg
Antler peg, possibly a structural element, made form the burr end of a red deer antler. The brow tine has been removed and the shaft has been pared down, tapering at its end. about halfway down a rough circular perforation has been made, alongside which are rough hack marks as though the peg was hurriedly reshaped. Similar perforated antler objects were found at Dinorben Hillfort (Gardener and Savory 1964).
