Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate of soft-paste porcelain with creamy translucency; standing on a tapering foot rim with cushion-moulded and curved spreading sides; lobed rim (6 large and 6 small lobes, alternating) moulded in relief with scrolls, flowers and tied ribbons; the rim edged in gilt; the well enamelled with a landscape featuring 4 peasant figures and, to the right, ships at sea.
