Early Medieval pottery amphora
Sherd with ornament of shallow ribs spaced at varying intervals. Buff fabric, with darker, reddish surfaces, slight micaceous sparkle. The inner surface, which has marked throughing grooves, shows a tendancy to flake off. The ornament is comparable to that of Class Bii, but the fabric is not copiously dusted with white sand as the sherds characteristic of that class.
