Toilet pot and cover
Toilet pot, soft-paste porcelain, rounded foot-rim, cylindrical sides, round domed cover with to the top a finial modelled in the form of a pear with leaves and a branch; finely painted in polychrome enamels with around the exterior body of the toilet pot a panoramic landscape with mythological figures riding fabulous sea creatures and in the distance Naples and Vesuvius, the cover painted with three small European birds, gilt lines around the foot-rim and liprim of the toilet pot and the rim of the cover, the pear finial painted in oranges, yellows, browns and greens. A chip to the lip-rim of the toilet pot.
