Roman copper alloy inkwell
The top of a small inkwell. The lid is missing though the base of the hinge remains; opposite the hinge a circular hole in the sunken rim of the aperture served to secure the catch. The top is decorated with two ribs of bronze concentric with the aperture and the circumference. There are traces of silvering.
