"Human jaw and fragments of bone, being portions of the greater part of a skeleton, found in a tumulus at Orsedd Wen, parish of Llangollen in March 1850 - supposed, upon tolerable grounds to the remains of Gwen, son of Llywarch Hen, Prince of the Cumbrian ....... in the 6th century."
