Teapot and cover
Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, bulbous ovoid body, short curving spout with foliate moulding around the base, loop handle with foliate moulding and raised thumb-spur, round domed cover with to the top a finial modelled in the form of a flower head with stem and leaves, a pierced steam hole to one side; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body of the teapot an oval panel painted with in one a view of a stag and in the other a dog, the panels enclosed by puce trellis-like borders entwined by ribbon-tied flowers, around the rest of the exterior body of the teapot and the top of the cover are scattered floral sprigs, the spout and handle picked out in puce and gilt, a gilt edge to the rim of the cover, the finial picked out in orange, yellow and green.
