Medieval / Post-Medieval tin alloy dress fastener
Cast dress fastener or button of tin alloy.
Sub-circular solid disc with an arched attachment loop on a flat bottom surface. The decoration on the disc consists of a series of raised chevron lines radiating out in quarters from a small raised central knop, forming a faint 'cross' pattern.
There is a moulding/cast line on the bottom surface and some casting overspill on the attachment hoop. The edge of the disc is slightly misshapen.
2022.3H/8 is of an almost identical form and decoration.
