Jug, milk
Jug, earthenware, standing on a straight-sided flat bottomed foot-rim, bulbous sides composed of eight convex panels, sloping inwards at the shoulder before flaring out slightly to the mouth, plain beak spout, high scrolled loop handle with raised thumb-spur; transfer-printed in black with to the exterior sides, spout, handle and interior lip-rim a continuous cellular sheet pattern consisting of undulating, irregular narrow black lines and areas of black shading, over painted with green vein-like lines.
