Sauce-tureen, cover and stand

Fürstenberg Porcelain Factory

Sauce tureen, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a spreading foot, circular bulbous body, to either side of the body twin vertical rectangular handles, domed cover with flat top surrounded by foliate moulding and cone finial; the tureen painted with to one side a spray of roses and to the other a spray of nasturtiums, smaller floral sprays around the top of the cover, around the upper body of the sauce boat and the rim of the cover borders of a narrow waved line in blue between pink and gilt lines with small festoons of green leaves, the handles, rims, moulding and finial picked out with gilt. Stand, hard-paste porcelain, circular with short sides and flaring rim; the well painted with a spray of roses and smaller floral sprays, around the rim a border as on the sauce-boat.
