Three quarter Starboard Bow view of S.S SKELDERGATE, 22 December 1947.
(4251gt) : Built 1930 by Burntisland Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Burntisland, with triple-expansion engine by D. Rowan & Co., Glasgow, for Turnbull, Scott & Co., London. While en route from Wallaroo to Calcutta with a cargo of wheat, she was driven ashore at False Bay, Capetown during a cyclone on 17 November 1950, and became wrecked .
