Toby jug
Toby jug, buff-coloured stoneware, standing on a high irregular octagonal base, modelled in the form of a corpulent seated figure holding a covered jug in the left hand and wearing a tricorn hat which forms the mouth and spout of the jug, loop handle with raised thumb-spur, the back of the jug decorated with patterns of impressed circles, semi-circles and stars; the jug in varying shades of brown, salt-glazed.
