Milk jug
Milk jug, white earthenware, short cylindrical foot-rim, bulbous body tapering inwards towards the neck, beak spout, grooved loop handle; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with around the body the 'willow' pattern with pagodas, figures crossing a bridge and two swallows flying above, an elaborate border around the neck with angular scrollwork and stylized flowers on a lattice-pattern ground, a very worn red-brown enamel edge to the lip-rim, a red-brown enamel stripe to the handle.
