Goffering iron
Rounded head on steel stem, square in section with a criss-cross grooved decoration, but flattened and pierced at extreme end.
Blacksmiths made items for the home and although for everyday use, the objects were often beautiful and decorative. Blacksmiths added extra flourishes to show off their skills.
