Cup and saucer
Cup, earthenware, standing on a rounded waisted foot-rim, rounded bottom, cylindrical sides, flaring everted lip-rim, the edge of the lip-rim lobed, wishbone shaped handle; transfer-printed in blue with to the interior bottom of the cup a scaled-down version of the 'Swan' pattern showing only the swan swimming on an expanse of water within a three-quarters cartouche of roccoco scrolls, flowers and foliage, sprays of flowers and foliage to the exterior of the cup, perforated ribbon border to the interior lip-rim interspersed with sprays of flowers and scrolls and issuing sprays of flowers and foliage, perforated ribbon border to the exterior lip-rim interspersed with sprays of flowers and scrolls and issuing feathery foliage, running border of diamond shapes and stylized flower heads to the handle. Saucer, earthenware, dish-shaped with rounded foot-rim and curving spreading sides, six shallow notches and lobes to the rim; transfer-printed in blue with the 'Swan' pattern, a swan-like bird swims on an expanse of water with a fountain to one side and another bird flying above, roccoco sprays of elaborate scrolls, flowers and foliage to either side of the scene, perforated ribbon border to the rim interspersed with sprays of flowers and scrolls and issuing feathery foliage.
