John Crichton-Stuart, 5th Marquess of Bute (also known Lord Dumfries), photographing a colony of Gannets (Morus bassanus) on the island of Ailsa Craig, off the coast of Scotland. The 5th Marquess of Bute was an expert ornothologist, much like Harry Morrey-Salmon. Photographed July 1935.
