Snuffer tray, papier mâché, elongated shallow oblong form with flat rim and rounded ends; covered all over with a black varnish, the sides of the well and the rim painted in green, blue and gilt with an elaborate design of flowers, foliage and scrolls, a worn gilt edge to the rim.
