Seal impression: Collegiate churches
The founders, Thomas Plantagenet of Woodstock, Duke of Glouscester, and his duchess, kneeling and holding between them a model of the church, within a broad niche beneath a triple canopy. Above, in a smaller niche, the Father supports His crucified Son; to either side in a small turret, a demi-angel; in base, two shields: dext. quarterly, 1. and 4. FRANCE (Ancient) 2. and 3. ENGLAND (the royal arms for the duke); sin. the same arms quarterly impaling: a bend cotised between six lions rampant, DE BOHUN (for the duchess, Alianora de Bohun) ; beneath is a swan badge, favoured by the Bohuns and by Thomas of Woodstock.
