Rubber stamp
Ysgol Celyn school hand-stamp, probably used for branding books.
Rubber stamp, supported on a solid brass mount with a lacquered wooden handle. The wood is probably walnut. The wooden handle appears to be secured to the tang with a round-headed brassed screw at the top of the handle (rather than the more usual position of near the ferrule). The ferrule appears to be brassed steel, rather than solid brass and may have remnants of a lacquer.
