Vase, cover and stand
Vase, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a square base, spreading pedestal foot with moulded foliage around the foot-rim, ovoid urn-shaped body with basketwork moulding extending up into a perforated gallery around the lip-rim, to either side of the body are moulded two plain oval panels, round domed cover with open and closed basketwork moulding, to the top of the cover the modelled figure of a kneeling amarino with small wings and holding a quiver full of arrows; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the oval panels to either side of the body of the vase a spray of flowers surrounded by rose buds, the moulded basketwork to the vase and cover picked out with puce and green lines, the moulded foliage around the foot-rim of the vase edged in puce, the modelled amarino picked out in slightly garish naturalistic enamels, gilt lines around the base, foot, edging the oval panels, lip-rim, the rim of the cover and the centre of the cover. One of the arrows held by the amarino is slightly chipped. Stand, hard-paste porcelain, circular shape with rounded foot-rim and curving sides, the centre of the well square in order to fit the base of the vase, the rim moulded with a basketwork pattern; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a spray of flowers surrounded by floral sprigs and rose buds, the moulded basketwork to the rim picked out with puce and green lines, gilt lines around the centre of the well, the edge of the well and the rim.
