Cup, tea and saucer
Haynes, Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1802 - 1810)
Teabowl and saucer, off-white earthenware, blue pearl-glaze with some black speck bubbling; both moulded with spiral flutes and with recessed bases; printed in underglaze blue with the 'Carnation' pattern, comprising a large spray of chinoiserie flowers on the saucer and the same print cut into two sections on either side of the teabowl; on the inner edges a deep border of lattice diaper, interspersed with semi-circular fan motifs, and with pendant chains, medallions, scrolls and foliate ornament; floret sprig inside the bowl; both pieces with blue rim lines.
