Cup, tea and saucer
Tea cup, hard-paste porcelain, short foot-rim and rounded sides, plain loop handle; decorated in polychrome enamels with to the front of the cup a panel finely painted with a river landscape featuring figures and boats, the landscape framed by rococo scrolls in soft blue enamel and gilt, around the rest of the exterior sides and to the interior bottom of the cup scattered floral sprigs, a gilt edge to the lip-rim, the handle picked out in gilt. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, short foot-rim and curving sides; decorated in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a panel finely painted with a river landscape featuring two figures by a classical ruin, the landscape framed by rococo scrolls in soft blue enamel and gilt, around the sides of the well scattered floral sprigs, a gilt edge to the rim.
