Decorative copper alloy seal matrix
The face of the matrix is oval with an engraved motif (for stamping). The back of the face tapers to a narrow 'knop' which may have once attached to a handle.
The matrix face is engraved with a worn design of buildings and river or landscape feature. On the reverse of the face, on the tapering surface is a cast floral relief design.
