Tea bowl and saucer

Chelsea Porcelain Factory

Tea bowl, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a short small foot-rim and large concave curving sides; underglaze mazarine blue band below rim decorated with superimposed gilt floral swags and gilt border to ground, naturalistic floral sprays evenly spaced below band painted in polychrome enamels and floral spray painted in enamels in well centre, gilt band to foot rim, tongue and arrow design in gilt to inside edge of rim; glazed. Saucer, soft-paste porcelain, stands on short foot rim with steep curved sides; underglazed mazarine blue band below rim decorated in gilt with floral swags with detail etched and tongue and arrow design on inside edge, well centre is painted in polychrome enamels with urn and flowers; glazed.
