Cover, hard-paste porcelain, domed with a flattened rim, pointed finial that has curved sides; the rim is lined in brown enamel, the top half of the finial is painted in underglaze blue overpainted with gilding (now abraded), painted with a border of flowers against a red ground which is outlined in underglaze blue embellished with gilt flourishes.
