19th century. Three ply woollen yarn. Reverse twill weave forming birdseye pattern in alternating colours in main body; broad plain navy border at each side continues weave pattern. Ends bound by tape. Selvage at sides. In two pieces, central seam stitching having disappeared. Colours: navy weft and natural undyed wool warp in body; navy warp and weft in borders. 120 x 190 cm
